.A vigorous varietal find with productive fruit set, stringless pods and tasty, black seeds.
Ball beans were described as early as 1869 by Georg von Martens. At that time, some representatives were transported by shipload along Lake Constance to Switzerland. The tender, stringless pods are harvested young and the black kernels are prepared as dry kernels when ripe or milk ripe.
